Alan (June 2022)- “A great property in a wonderful location. Very comfortable with a terrific pool and outdoor area. Lovely sun drenched garden with very comfortable outside furnishing to relax, eat and drink and to take in the superb views across the region. A 1 minute drive or a 10 minute walk I to Cotignac makes the venue highly convenient as well. Check in and check our and all commu ucatuon was good. As a family we've already discussed revisiting.”
Janine (June 2022)- “It was our second visit to Harry's place and we enjoyed it again. From the beautiful garden, the view, the cottage, basically everything there is. It remains a place to come back again!”
Neli (April 2022)- “We stayed in this fantastic house for almost two weeks in April 2022 as a family with two children. We had a wonderful time there and I would give the place 10 out of 5 stars. The house has everything you need for a great holiday: Everything is very well maintained, very neat and clean. Everything works and there is everything imaginable - from toasters to cookbooks to games. On the sometimes still very cold mornings, the heating made the house wonderfully warm - an absolute plus. The house it nicely decorated which really makes you feel at bit like being at home. It's not one of these sterile holiday homes which are only practical, but not very cosy. Instead, it's a place where you can sit in- and outdoors and time simply flies. The terrace is the centre where you can spend the whole day - there is sun and shade, a great barbecue and a stunning view towards the hills of the Provence. The entire property is very large and offers plenty of space to retreat from time to time. Especially for the early season, it was great for us that there is sun on the terrace from morning to evening. But even when it was rather warm, there is enough shade to enjoy the time there. And then there is a pool, which is also suitable for children to play in because it has a shallow entrance. (Yes, of course you still have to be careful ;-).) There are sunbeds and parasols by the pool - everything you need for a warm day. It is wonderfully quiet in the house - you can hardly hear anything from the streets. In the evening, you can listen to the sounds of cicadas and birds. The children loved not only the pool but also the table tennis. The house is within walking distance of Cotignac - in the village you can get everything for your daily needs, it has a great market on Tuesdays and the Patisserie is a Must-have. Of course, there are also cafes and bars. Just behind the house you can set off for a hike in the forest. The communication with the owner and the hosts on site was super easy, quick, and reliable. The keys were handed over punctually on time and further enquiries were also very easy. The pictures on the website exactly represent the house. Or let me say: The house is even better than the pictures. All together: A really perfect place for a holiday, or for ever :-). Thank you Matt, that we could spend a really nice holiday here!”
Jolin (April 2022)- “Great location to the centre Cotignac village. Comfortable beds and super kitchen stock with all we need. Bath rooms are very modern renovated.”
Janine (September 2021)- “Harry's place is a fantastic place to stay. A nice house in a very nice place. The house is fully equipped. Comfy beds, good pillows, nice linen. The kitchen is amply equipped with everything you need. Nice terrace adjacent to the house with a dining table and comfortable lounge sofa. From the house you can easily walk to the village in 10-15 minutes. Cotignac is a pleasant village with a nice village square. Good food at cafe du Course! You can make all kinds of trips from Cotignac. We have been to Aix en Provence, to Saint Tropez and to the Lac de Sainte-Croix / Gorges du Verdon. Especially the latter is an absolute must! The special color of the water is already wonderful, but the point where the Lac de Sainte-Croix turns into the gorges du Verdon is breathtaking. The grounds of the cottage are spread over several levels. You park on the highest level, the cottage is one level below and the pool is on the second lowest level. Each level is connected by stone steps. I wouldn't go there with very young children. In case of pets, the fully fenced garden is a big plus. My two dachshunds were able to scurry all over the yard without escaping. In short, nothing but praise for Harry's place! A point of attention, the check-in details indicate not to take the path to the front door by car. I want to emphasize: don't do this!!! We were so stubborn to do it. In the belief that we would easily get the car back up. So we couldn't do this. Thanks to Fiona (with whom there is good communication) and her auxiliary troops, the car has resurfaced. Thanks again for this! Please don't make that mistake. We are still a little ashamed. ;-) Anyway, Harry's place is great!!”
Joël (September 2021)- “Wonderful location in a wonderful place!”
Sarah (July 2021)- “Very pleasant house, superb view and owner with little care! We will return!”
Natasha (July 2021)- “Stunning property with spectacular views situated in a beautiful village. The interior and exterior of this property are incredibly well equipped. Beyond reached our expectations. The swimming pool also with its fabulous scenery and beautifully manicured gardens is delightful. Highly recommend.”
Mariza (October 2020)- “This place was perfect for a family stay, kitchen was well stocked, there is a fabulous bbq set up, the gardens are glorious and we made great use of the table tennis. We will be back ...!”
Nicolas (September 2020)- “House of exquisite taste perfectly in line with expectations and the description made in the ad! The equipment (especially in the kitchen) is incredible and the welcome very warm so that you feel directly at home (all the basic necessities are already there and in quantity). The view is breathtaking, the swimming pool very pleasant facing south and the outdoor spaces as well. In general I take care to be very precise in the comments to really understand the good but in this case it would not be useless as well because the house is perfect but also and above all because the description is 100% complete and faithful to what that we discover there. We highly recommend! Thanks again Matt and hope to see you soon.”
Nadia (September 2020)- “This place is just wonderful. The house is beautiful and has a stunning view and pool and is really well equiped. We stayed there 5 nights and it was really hard for us to leave. I really can’t recommend this place enough, you will have beautiful, relaxing holidays. Thanks for the wonderful stay Matt! We really hope that we can come back soon!”
Egzon (August 2020)- “We enjoyed staying with Matt. The accommodation is very clean. The air-conditioned villa as well as the terrace and the swimming pool are a real asset. The village is charming and full of history. We recommend you.”
Ellie (October 2019)- “We stayed here for two weeks out of season and the house had everything we could possibly wish for. The house has been beautifully renovated and has spectacular views, the garden is terraced and well-ordered and sitting out on the terrace is heavenly, on really comfortable outdoor furniture. The nearby town (10 minute walk) is delightful, with lots of cafes and restaurants open throughout the year. The weekly market is a must and the local patisserie has the best bread and pastries in the area. The surrounding area is peaceful and has a lot to offer in terms of walking and sightseeing.” Visited in March.
Iona (August 2019)- “The five of us (two adults and three children) spent a wonderful, relaxing two weeks at Matt’s house. The location is perfect. A 10 minute stroll into the gorgeous village of cotignac and a 40 minute drive to the beautiful lac st Croix (we went three times). Cotignac has everything you need, two boulangeries, lots of lovely cafes, a spar that stays open late, gorgeous winding streets and fountains and really friendly people. The house is wonderful, clean, stylishly decorated and spacious. And matt is an excellent host. He responded quickly to all questions, provided some great tips on things to do, and the lady who looks after the house could not have been more helpful. The outside space is perfect. The sofa area is really comfortable and the views are spectacular. The pool is a great size with lovely wide steps and stylish sun loungers. There is an alarm but we didn’t actually use it because the pool isdown some steps so it made it very easy to ensure the children weren’t near it. The garden lights up beautifully at night too. The children loved reading the tin tin books and there are lots of games (we spent hours playing dog bingo!), and the inflatable unicorn waslots of fun in the pool. The table tennis table was a real bonus too! We really cannot recommend the house and Matt enough. Thank you for a wonderful stay.”
Hélène (August 2019)- “We had a very nice stay at Matt's, everything is planned to make us feel good. The pool is great, the decoration at the top, the equipment too. In the top!!”
Eric (August 2019)- “The rental of Matt is entirely in accordance with the description. The house is ideally located near the village of Cotignac with ample parking in front of the house. The dominant view of the terrace and the pool is frankly superb. Home very pleasant when we arrived and very clean house. Fiona in charge of the house is very responsive and following improper handling from us the gas stove Fiona was on site within 5 minutes to fix the problem! For the rooms part the bedding is new and very comfortable. Ditto for bathrooms and towels. The kitchen is very well equipped. The terrace includes a summer lounge, a large table and a superb barbecue for family meals. The pool is clean and well maintained. Nothing to say about the rental we had a great stay in a very nice house! I recommend this location ideally located to visit the Var! And thanks again to Fiona for her welcome!”
Dina (August 2019)- “Harry’s Place can be summarized in one word: "fantastic" !!”
